Path to 2040 Sustainability Strategy

The City of Nelson has created the Path to 2040 Sustainability Strategy. This Strategy recognizes and defines what is great about Nelson, and offers insight into how Nelsonites can preserve and enhance what we love about where we live. It serves as an umbrella document that sets the direction for future policy and planning decisions. The Strategy includes the Path to 2040 Assessment Tool which will assist City Council and Staff in ensuring future decisions are aligned with our sustainability principles and directions. The Strategy is currently being used to inform the development of the Community Climate Action and Energy Plan and the Sustainable Waterfront and Downtown Master Plan.
