The Nelson Farmer’s Market season will kick-off this Saturday, June 13th, 2020 between 9:00am and 1:00pm at Cottonwood Falls Park in Railtown.
The first market of the season will include whole food producers selling vegetables and plant starts etc. There will be no other retail vendors or take-away food/meals being sold this Saturday; however, the City will work with local vendors on a phased-in approach to the market season which will see an expanded selection of retailers in the coming weeks.
The City would like to remind the public that strict COVID-19 protocols will be in place. The COVID-19 Safety Plan & Protocols for the market can be found at nelson.ca/market. We ask that market-goers adhere to the protocols of physical distancing, hand sanitizing and following the directional signage through the market. We also ask patrons to move at a moderate pace through the stalls to ensure other market-goers do not have to wait too long to enter the retail area.
The City would like to thank all of the produce vendors who have signed up for the initial market and we look forward to working with you during the market season.
If you are interested in being part of the Wednesday or Saturday markets this season, please contact Jordan Martin at jmartin@nelson.ca
