The Nelson Disc Golf Association will be installing a ’trial’ disc golf course in Art Gibbon Memorial Park in Rosemont in the coming weeks. This work is scheduled to take place on May 17 and 18, 2020. 

Volunteers of the association will work in a small group to complete the installation while maintaining appropriate two-metre physical distancing. The work being completed is low impact, including building wooden forms, compacting gravel pads and grouting bases for the basket collars. 

The baskets will not be placed in the collars yet and the course will not be utilized until parks are approved to re-open in the area. Once permitted to be open, the association will commence playing for the one year trial season.
