Street Scraping, Sweeping & Flushing
March 6th - 9th, 2020 (in the evenings)
Location: Fairview (west) Anderson to Gordon Street and Fifth to First Street and all cross streets, including Sproat Drive.(see map)
Location: Vernon, Front, Anderson Streets, and Nelson Ave. (see map)
Parking restrictions are in effect for these streets to facilitate effective and efficient street scraping, sweeping and flushing. Residents with off-street parking are asked to park vehicles off the road on these days. If you must park on the street, and where possible, residents are asked to comply with the odd/even day parking rule.
Residents are also asked to sweep accumulated sand from the sidewalks and boulevards adjacent to their properties onto the street (curb edge) in advance of this work.
Odd-Even parking restrictions mean that, on Friday, March 6th and Sunday, March 8th (the even days), starting at 3:00 pm and until 11:00 pm, parking is only permitted on the even-numbered side of the street.
On Saturday, March 7th and Monday, March 9th starting at 3:00 pm and until 11:00 pm, parking is only permitted on the odd-numbered side of the street.
Other additional special restrictions may be posted along certain segments of this route. Violators may be ticketed and towed
