Watering Restrictions - Stage Two
The City of Nelson has moved to Stage 2 water conservation measures as our source water supply continues to drop to seasonal low levels with the absence of substantial rainfall in our region.
Stage 2 means that watering lawns using a sprinkler or irrigation system is only permitted ONCE A WEEK.
EVEN numbered addresses - Wednesdays
ODD numbered addresses - Thursdays
Please water between 4:00 am - 9:00am or 7:00pm - 10:00pm.
You may hand water your garden using a shut-off nozzle during these hours any day of the week.
Washing sidewalks, driveways, or house exteriors are NOT permitted.
And remember, if water runs off your lawn and down the street, you're using too much.

View the Water Restriction Stages for more information about the regulations. Should the restriction stage change, notice will be sent out via our City of Nelson Facebook page and published on our Water and Public Notice pages on the City website.
