To file a request for enforcement related to a City of Nelson bylaw violation, please use the Bylaw Enforcement Request Form. We do not accept anonymous complaints. You can also submit your request at City Hall - First Floor reception.

Bylaw Services will review your request and determine whether sufficient grounds exist to issue a ticket. The City is not obligated to issue a ticket. A complainant may be required to appear at court or adjudication if the ticket is disputed.

Noise Complaint

Urgent noise complaints involving gunshots or physical altercations, please dial 9-1-1.

After-hours noise complaints may be reported directly to the Nelson Police Department non-emergency line 250-354-3919. For all other noise complaints, please use the Bylaw Enforcement Request Form.
