Next week McNally is planning to pave of the
west side of the parking lot, paving the transition in the rear lane in the 100
Block of Hall and paving the transition area that runs along the west side of the
100 Block of Hall, adjacent to the Taylor Wilton property. Access from
the rear lane to the 100 Block of Hall Street will remain closed until the
asphalt work has been completed.McNally has also indicated that further
instillation of electrical utilities will proceed and preparatory work for the
concrete sidewalk that will run adjacent to the foreshore steps and will tie
into the trail near the wharf.
Marwest has indicated that next week they will
be backfilling the shallow utility work they finished up this week and will
finish the install of the double catch basins on the NW and NE corners of the
Front and Hall intersection as well as will be installing two large storm
manholes in Front Street.
The City would like to remind residents that
the businesses remain open and that access to Gateway Plaza and 625 Hall Street
is from Lakeside Drive via the Cedar Street detour route. The City also
requests that drivers and pedestrians utilize caution while traveling through
this busy area and to follow the signs and direction provided by the flaggers.
