Public Notice: Possible Picketing at City Hall

October 6, 2025

The City of Nelson has been advised that picketing may take place outside City Hall (310 Ward Street) in the coming days, possibly as early as Tuesday, October 7. City Hall will remain open to the public.

While the B.C. General Employees’ Union (BCGEU) does not represent any City of Nelson employees, there are provincial ministry offices located within 310 Ward Street that employ BCGEU members. 

Paying Your Bills

You can continue to make payments using the following options:

  • Nelson Hydro bills: Pay online at https://hydroportal.nelson.ca/pay-my-bill, at your bank, or by phone 250-352-8206
  • Water, Sewer, and Property Tax bills: Pay through online banking or in-person at your local bank branch or by phone 250-352-5511
  • Parking tickets: https://www.nelson.ca/754/Parking-Tickets or by phone 250-352-5511
  • Cash or cheque payments: Use the secure drop box located outside the main entrance of City Hall. Please place your payment in an envelope and clearly mark it with your account information.
