Official Community Plan
The purpose of the City of Nelson Official Community Plan is to provide a policy framework and implementation strategy designed to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Nelson. Specifically, the Official Community Plan has been developed:
- To act as the policy foundation for further planning initiatives that will be required as Nelson grows; and
- To guide community initiatives in a manner that will sustain and enhance Nelson's economic, environmental and social fabric.
Nelson City Council adopted the current Official Community Plan in 2008.
