Liquor Licensing
Liquor licenses are issued by the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch (LCLB) of the provincial government. However, the LCLB will not issue new liquor licenses or amend existing licenses for liquor-primary establishments without the support of the local government. Please fill out a Development Application [PDF - 61 KB] for such permits and submit to the Department of Development Services & Sustainability.
Please consult the Fees and Charges Bylaw for the appropriate application fee required by the City of Nelson to process the application.
