Youth Centre

The Nelson & District Youth Centre (NDYC) was established as a department of the City of Nelson in December 1997. Striving to create a safe, accepting, and empowering community where all youth can interact and access a variety of programs, services and activities they need and enjoy.

YOUTH WEEK  - May 1-7, 2017

During this year’s Youth Week celebration the Nelson Youth Network will be launching an on-line survey to the community,  in hopes of improving their understanding of local youth, so they can better support them through existing programs and new initiatives. The results of the survey will be used to assess services, strengthen programs, determine gaps and set priorities for the Nelson Youth Network. This survey will be open from May 1st until the end of June to collect as many responses as possible.

The Nelson Youth Network is a Columbia Basin Trust initiative that will support a broad variety of opportunities for youth in the areas of skill building, leadership, career development, personal achievement, enrichment and the pursuit of individual interests.  To ensure that all youth have access to relevant programming and opportunities while working to reduce barriers and strengthen the community cohesion of youth.

All ages are welcome to fill out the survey, however, their main focus is hearing the views and opinions of local youth ages 12-18.

For the chance to win a cash prize and to have your voice heard, fill out the survey on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/nelsonanddistrictyouthcentre/

or at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/nelsonyouth. To fill it out in person, please come visit the Nelson and District Youth Centre at 608 Lake St. For more information contact Sarah Miles at smiles@nelson.ca or 250 352 8121.
