General
Cultural Events Calendar. Music, film, exhibitions, workshops, lectures and other events in and around the city can be found on the City of Nelson Cultural Development Commission events calendar.
Mayor & Council
Council Meetings. Nelson City Council meets on the second Monday of the month in the council chambers at City Hall, 310 Ward Street. The general public is invited to attend regularly scheduled council meetings.
Transit
Bus Schedules. BC Transit operates a bus service within the City of Nelson, with connections to the North Shore, Salmo, Castlegar-Trail and the Slocan Valley through the Regional District of Central Kootenay transit system. The regional handyDART wheelchair-accessible bus is operated the RDCK in partnership with BC Transit, with service between Naksup and Nelson operated by Arrow & Slocan Lakes Community Services.

Youth Centre Calendar. The Nelson & District Youth Centre runs regularly scheduled programs such as skateboard lessons, math and science tutoring, juggling and hip hop dance, to name just a few.
