First Aid Kit
It doesn't take long to assemble a first-aid kit for your home and car for use in the event of an emergency. A typical first-aid kit might include:
- sterile adhesive bandages in assorted sizes
- 2- and 4-inch sterile gauze pads (4 to 6 of each size)
- hypoallergenic adhesive tape
- triangular cloth bandages (3)
- 2- and 3-inch sterile rolled bandages (3 of each size)
- scissors
- tweezers
- needle
- pre-moistened towelettes
- antiseptic
- thermometer
- tongue blades (2)
- petroleum jelly
- safety pins, assorted
- cleaning agent/soap
- latex gloves (2 pairs minimum)
- sunscreen
- aspirin or non-aspirin pain reliever
- syrup of ipecac (to induce vomiting if advised by Poison Control Centre)
- activated charcoal (if advised by Poison Control Centre)
