Emergency & Safety

Floods, power outages, severe weather, even earthquakes can happen in the area. With its very own fire, police and hydro agencies, coupled with a B.C. Ambulance Service station and the volunteers that make up Nelson Search and Rescue, the city is well prepared to keep citizens safe. In the event of a large catastrophe, Nelson's Emergency Operations Centre and Emergency Social Services will be there to address issues as they arise.
