WINTER OPERATIONS
Snow hauling is happening this week in Rosemont, finishing up on Vancouver Street from West Gore to West Richards Street. Next week crews will move to Uphill and focus on clearing the bus route.
Please obey the signage and move parked vehicles as requested to allow for the snow to be cleared.
CITY OPERATIONS
Vegetation Management in the downtown area, which includes Victoria Street to Vernon Street and the foot of Baker Street to Hendrix Street.
Jan 11 - 500 block of Ward Street – west side - ½ day
Jan 12 - 500 block of Ward Street – east side - ½ day
Jan 13 - 600 block of Baker Street – south side - Full Day
Parking stalls will be blocked off in these areas when the crews are working.
- Trees in the downtown area were assessed in the fall of 2022 as part of our Vegetation Management Program.
- Over the next few months, trees in the downtown area will be trimmed and sometimes removed due to safety concerns.
- The work site will consist of two arborists working in a boom truck and one grounds person guiding foot traffic around the site.
- Sidewalks will remain open for regular business activity.
