Hall Street Project Update for the Week of June 11-15, 2018

The City’s contractor (McNally) has been working this past week to prepare for the concrete curbing work that will proceed next week. McNally has been busy adjusting the elevation of manholes, verifying survey layout and having electrical conduit installed. Subject to weather, the curbs and gutters will be extruded early next week and the road surface will be paved by the end of the week.

In conjunction with the work done by McNally, CP crews have also been present installing signal wires, relocating the east crossing signal and installing additional conduit under the crossing.

The next phase of the project is rapidly approaching and the City’s contractor (Marwest) has indicated that their intended start date is scheduled for June 28th. In advance of this work proceeding, a stakeholder meeting has been scheduled for 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Thursday June 14th at the Chamber of Commerce Boardroom (91 Baker St) to discuss the project schedule for this phase and to discuss the traffic management plan that has been proposed to MOTI (Transportation).

The City would like to thank Tom Thomson of the Chamber of Commerce for graciously agreeing to host the stakeholder meeting.
